Collection: Carve

Carve is a thematic collection focused on subtraction, incision, and the physical removal of material as a means of defining form. Rather than building through accumulation, these works are shaped through cutting, carving, and reduction, allowing structure to emerge through absence.

Material is treated as something to be entered and altered rather than layered or contained. Edges, voids, and negative space play an active role, guiding how light, shadow, and depth are perceived across the surface or within the form.

Across this collection, carving functions as both process and language—introducing tension between control and exposure, precision and irregularity. The resulting works emphasize restraint and deliberation, inviting close, sustained engagement.

This collection is part of a broader practice that spans surface, relief, and object-based work.
