Collection: Encase

Encase is a thematic collection centered on containment, layering, and material suspension. The work explores how objects, marks, and substances can be held within one another, creating relationships between interior and exterior, visibility and obscurity.

Developed through casting, embedding, and layered material processes, these works emphasize accumulation rather than assembly. Materials are allowed to settle, suspend, and interact over time, making the act of containment an active structural element rather than a passive boundary.

Across this collection, encasement functions as both method and concept—holding traces of memory, gesture, and material history within a fixed form. The resulting works are quiet, deliberate, and spatially self-contained, inviting close observation and slow perception.

This collection is part of a broader practice that spans surface, relief, and object-based work.
