Collection: Surface Works

Surface Works encompass all two-dimensional pieces within my practice, regardless of medium. These works prioritize restraint, repetition, and material presence over image or narrative, treating surface as a site of accumulation rather than expression.

Designed for wall placement and close viewing, scale is intentionally contained, allowing subtle shifts in color, depth, and texture to unfold slowly over time. Designed to exist quietly within a space, surface works integrate with architecture through balance, proportion, and light rather than visual dominance.

Some surface-based works emerge from broader thematic collections, while others operate independently, unified by a shared concern with surface as boundary, record, and structure.

These works are part of an ongoing sculptural practice grounded in restraint, repetition, and material presence.
